For 12 years, the Urban Photographer of the Year competition has brought together people, places and perspectives from around the world to capture and celebrate unique moments in the urban environment.
CBRE needed to raise the profile of their campaign with a new digital presence and improve the submission process which was laborious and time consuming.
In 2016, our challenge was set with an expectation of 30k entries.
We created a custom built site which is super advanced behind the scenes. The CMS allows users to upload multiple entries as simple and smoothly as possible. It was essential to us that the user experience was slick and effortless. Multiple competitions can now be hosted on the site including an hourly competition, all managed within the site itself allowing for a judging process that feels like a walk in the park.
Since the new site launched, entries have massively increased to 80k in 2018 from 181 countries exceeding all expectations. The competition is growing year on year exhibiting a mixture of thought provoking and inspirational work.
