We tested the preview of the new Google Search Engine with the keyword 'marmalade'. The current engine returned 4,140,000 results in 0.36 seconds. But the new one returned 4,450,000 in a whopping 0.08 seconds, that is less than 1/4 of the speed.

Due to the different algorithm used, SEO experts will have to change how they perform search engine optimisation. Unfortunately at this early stage it is hard to tell how much.
