Friday Fun - the desk says it all

So, as its Friday and the sun is shining, I thought you might like to peek inside the Jar and see what makes us tick. Today we'll be looking at the desk of our Lead Developer, and all round uber-geek, Syd Lawrence.

Observe the above picture. Let's see what we have:

1. Wireless mouse and keyboard
Uber-geek, enough said. "I can't deal with all these wires!"

2. Wires
Sometimes there's just no escaping them. This is to keep Syd grounded.

3. Coffee mug
Syd only knows what this is because people bring him hot, sweet liquids in this. I don't think he even knows where the kettle is.

4. Shades
Syd thinks this says "hey, I may be a geek, but at least I'm cool" -  we all just think he's a geek.

5. Rubbish
Tidy code is about as far as it gets. Syd is here trying to push his detritus onto someone elses desk in the hope they might find the bin for him.

6. Strange 'toy'
Another geek-feature. No-one knows what it is, or what it does, in fact Syd uses it to hold his pens.

7. Sellotape
Last minute wrapping for his girlfriend's brithday? Taping those unfortunate 'pictures' to the underside of his drawers for privacy? Who knows.

8. Batteries
To power the wireless mouse which keeps running out of power because it doesn't have wires. Uh-oh, don't mention the 'W' word!!
